After his first visit in 2008, Zambia took on a very special place in Dani's heart. Only a short while later, iChange was founded. As a founding member and long-time board member Dani truly shaped and guided our organization for more than a decade. During his many visits on location, a network of friendships was formed and many unforgettable moments experienced together. His big heart, enthusiasm and pragmatism were valued and deeply appreciated by everyone and played a key role in the many successful developments that we were able to achieve together.
But also in Switzerland Dani tirelessly worked for the people of and for our projects in Zambia. His open, engaging and inspiring nature motivated a multitude of young people to muster the courage to come and experience Zambia for themselves; in addition, Dani's unique ability to network repeatedly led to organizations as well as private donors to join our work through much needed financial support.
Together with his wife Tabea Dani is now moving to Asia for a couple of years. As a result, he decided to withdraw from his role and responsibilities as a board member of iChange. It is with a heavy heart that we say thank you for the wonderful years working together and all the valuable contributions he made to our organization, but most importantly to all those whose lives he touched in Zambia during this time. During his tenure, Dani has truly shaped and enriched iChange, our projects and us as fellow team members. As Zambia is a part of Dani, so Dani will remain a part of our work in Zambia and here in Switzerland. Here as well as there one thing is sure - you will be deeply missed! We are already now looking forward to your and Tabea's visits.
At the same time, our diverse work in Zambia continues with great momentum. We are excited to announce that Kim will join the board of iChange and welcome her to this new responsibility. Kim has already been in Zambia multiple times over the past years and has participated in key functions in some of the major projects we have been able to accomplish. We look forward to her continued engagement in this new role.
